About Cohuna District Hospital
Cohuna District Hospital is a welcoming, rural health service located in northern Victoria, dedicated to delivering high-quality care with compassion and respect. Established as a public hospital in 1952, it has a rich history of serving the Cohuna community and surrounding areas.
The hospital offers a range of acute services including medical, surgical and obstetric care through its 8-bed facility. In addition to inpatient care, Cohuna District Hospital provides vital community and home-based services such as District Nursing, Social Support Groups and Meals on Wheels, in partnership with Northern District Community Health.
Aged care is also a key part of our service, with a 16-bed nursing home wing adjacent to the hospital, built through strong community support. Our team is proud to work in a collaborative, supportive environment where staff are valued and encouraged to grow.

Position Title: Support Services Coordinator
Classification: HS3
Salary per hour: $37.67 + superannuation + generous salary packaging options
Employment Type: Ongoing part-time 64 hours per fortnight
Award: Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025
Role description
Are you passionate about delivering exceptional support services in a healthcare environment? We are seeking a Support Services Coordinator to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of our Food and Cleaning Departments.
As the Support Services Coordinator, you will:
- Supervise and coordinate food and cleaning teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Deliver cost-effective, customer-focused services that meet stakeholder needs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, standards, and legislation.
- Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, infection control, and facility appearance.
- Work collaboratively to support a safe and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
About you
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience in food services and/or cleaning operations (healthcare experience preferred).
- Knowledge of infection control standards and relevant regulations.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
