Cohuna District Hospital is a welcoming, rural health service located in northern Victoria, dedicated to delivering high-quality care with compassion and respect. Established as a public hospital in 1952, it has a rich history of serving the Cohuna community and surrounding areas.

The hospital offers a range of acute services including medical, surgical and obstetric care through its 8-bed facility. In addition to inpatient care, Cohuna District Hospital provides vital community and home-based services such as District Nursing, Social Support Groups and Meals on Wheels, in partnership with Northern District Community Health.

Aged care is also a key part of our service, with a 16-bed nursing home wing adjacent to the hospital, built through strong community support. Our team is proud to work in a collaborative, supportive environment where staff are valued and encouraged to grow.

Position Title: Enrolled Nurse   

Classification: IB68 to IB72            

Salary per hour:  $37.02 to $39.39 + superannuation + generous salary packaging options 

Employment Type: Ongoing part-time up to 72 hours per fortnight

Award: Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Health Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 -2028

Role description

Cohuna District Hospital is seeking motivated and compassionate Enrolled Nurses to join our Acute and Aged Care team.

In this dynamic position, you will work across both Acute and Aged Care settings, supported to operate at your full scope of practice. You will be guided by our Clinical Nurse Education Team, Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), and Associate Nurse Unit Managers (ANUMs) to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care.

As an Enrolled Nurse, you will contribute to the clinical management of individuals under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, playing an essential role in delivering safe, effective, and respectful care.
