Position: Acute Associate Nurse Unit Manager – Parental Leave Backfill
Employment Type: Part Time, Fixed Term – 64 hours per fortnight
Cohuna District Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to join our Acute Ward team on a part time, fixed term basis to backfill parental leave. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed nursing professional to take on a leadership role in a supportive and dynamic clinical environment.
As the ANUM, you will assist the Nurse Unit Manager in coordinating high-quality patient care, provide clinical leadership to the team, and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
Key Selection Criteria:

- KSC1: Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to lead and manage a team
- KSC2: Sound clinical knowledge and expertise in nursing practice relevant to the ward/unit area
- KSC3: Ability to support other staff in developing professionally
- KSC4: Demonstrated effective time management and prioritisation skills
- KSC5: Ability to liaise effectively with other health professionals and work within a multidisciplinary framework
- KSC6: Demonstrated knowledge and experience in quality improvement processes and activities
- KSC7: Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
